What steps have to be taken to register a .sk domain?
Slovak domains are registered by a central registrar – SK-NIC. Its use is limited only to Slovak citizens and subjects having their seat in the Slovak Republic. Every person or organization wanting to own a domain has to be registered at SK-NIC and get its own identifier necessary for domain registration. .SK domain can be registered via registrars, who are also technical administrators of the domain. Therefore you have to sign a Framework contract with the .sk top-level domain administrator – SK-NIC, a.s. The document can be found at http://www.sk-nic.sk as the F1 form: Žiadosť o štatút užívateľa (user status request), where you have to fill in EXOT-0004 as the registrar. Generate the document, sign it, stamp it and enclose a copy of your business certificate. If you are a natural person or do not own a stamp, the signature has to be verified by a notary. Send the documents to: SK-NIC, P.O.BOX 49, 840 00 Bratislava 4. Within 2-3 days after sending them you will be assigned an identifier, which will be used to register your domain. You only have to sign the contract once, afterwards an unlimited number of domains can be assigned your identifier.
